I was born and raised in Northern California. I made my way to Texas by way of Washington, DC and have been here for over 20 years. I became a real estate agent over 15 years ago. I enjoy it, it has been good to me, and now I am enjoying doing some pay back by having a broker license, lots of designations, teaching, and committee work. The hours are flexible so I am free to do pretty much what I want.
I love to travel. I haven't done a whole lot of it, but Scotland and Italy are my favorites; I would go back in a heartbeat. Theater is important to me, I love it. One of my goals is to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in New York. I used to play a lot of golf, almost daily, but if I were to be honest about my golfing abilities, I would be happy to be in the gallery.
Even though I like going different places, doing different things, and having some adventure to amuse me, I don't like motorcycles. I am afraid of them and will never, ever, ride on one. And those who ride one without a helmet and body armour are really kind of crazy, in my opinion. I would love to learn to ride a horse. I want some custom western boots (off the shelf boots hurt my feet).
Actually, I am quite regular. My wants and needs are pretty simple. I was widowed over 20 years ago and somehow survived that and have managed to have a pretty nice life. I love to cook. My friends call me the dessert queen, but I don't think I am. I love to entertain, be it a family get together, a gourmet meal, a back yard pool party and barbeque, a soak in the hot tub, or a short visit with drinks and treats. I have never had children of my own, but I have lots of nieces and nephews who fulfill me. My extended family is my friends and my colleagues. My sister is my best friend in the world.
Pets? Yes, I have pets. I have two dogs, Golden Retriever rescue girls; both are going to be 4 this year..
In a relationship, I am looking for a companion who is kind, honest, loving, compassionate, has a sense of humor. and really wants me to be special. No sour pusses need apply. He should be fairly successful, responsible, able to participate in a relationship, be willing to and want to be loyal, and be as comfortable to me as an old slipper. I prefer to be with someone who is still taller than me when I am wearing high heels. I don't like naysayers or games; I don't have time for that kind of antic. I am a softie with a very good heart; naysayers and game players can sometimes mess with my heart and that is so not nice. You rascals know who you are, don't you?
Peeled back, I am simply looking for someone who is looking for me, who is willing to move forward, leave the baggage and bad memories behind, and enjoy life as much as possible.
