Life is an awfully big adventure and it would be nice to have someone to share it with. I have been a widow for almost nine years and although I do enjoy my solitude, there are days when I miss that connection to a special person.
I am 53, 5 ft., need to lose a few pounds but still attractive, I am told. I have many good friends and a few great ones who have stood by me and supported me through the years.
I work in the Mortgage industry and enjoy what I do. I enjoy social get-togethers, spending time with family and friends, meeting new people. I like trying new cuisines, browsing flea markets, bowling, volleyball, walking, hiking short to medium distance trails. I enjoy a lot of things even just staying home, reading a book, dancing to music. I like cooking and baking, too. I am pretty easygoing, friendly, considerate and honest.
I am looking for someone with similar interests to start a friendship and see where it goes. We don't have to like all the same things or agree on everything, but we do have to agree on the important things. That's something we'll discover along the way.
I am looking for someone intelligent, good-looking,responsible and kind. Kindness is an important attribute that is often overlooked. I am also looking for a gentleman. I still appreciate good manners and common courtesy.
Last but not least, I always try to count my blessings and focus on the positive side of things. I would like my partner to share the same outlook. As the popular saying goes, "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."

I prefer to meet in casual surroundings on the first date. Somewhere where we can talk and get to know each other. A coffee place or a nice park. I would rather not go to a movie on the first date because you can't talk at a movie.
