I am financially secure and emotionally and physically available.  I've done years of introspective work and feel comfortable with myself and in myself; which is not to say that I'm not aware of ongoing room for improvement and growth, and I fully recognize that I am ever evolving. Life is a constant opportunity for learning and maturation.

I am passionate...about life and in relationship, and am physically affectionate.  I also enjoy romance, both romancing and being romanced.  I tend to be very open hearted and I love to communicate deeply and honestly and openly...and ALWAYS very gently and respectfully.  I love deep philosophical talks but also find profound joy in raucous laughter and goofiness!

I took my Buddhist vows over 15 years ago and try to live my life from a Buddhist perspective.  I practice living in the present moment, often finding myself elsewhere (but continue to strengthen my in-the-moment-muscle with regular meditation). I also consistently work towards greater and greater compassion towards myself and others, trying to interrupt the very human tendency of falling into judgement.

I was blessed for 17 years with a healthy, loving relationship that ended in this physical realm 9 years ago with my partner's death from early-onset Alzheimer's.  I know how to "do healthy" and want to do it again!

My friends would describe me as both sweet and kind and see me as compassionate and as a true and deep listener (being a psychotherapist with 35 years in the field, I certainly hope so....).

I'm looking for a  woman who has also done a lot of "inner work"; a woman who has resolved much of her trauma and moved beyond drama; a woman who is living at a reasonable pace, not a frenetic one; who has the time and space in her life to develop a true partnership with another woman.
