I am a 56 year old woman who has always been a happy girl and young at heart. I lost the love of my life recently, and am looking for a friend to talk to who has recently had a similar experience.
I am a bit unconventional, sort of the younger sister of hippies. I graduated from high school in 1975 from a private school in Atlanta called Woodward Academy. I value intelligence and education, though I got married young and didn't finish my college education. I have been a software trainer and creator of e-Learning materials for my entire career.
I love music. I love the Beatles. I have a spiritual side. I'm doing my best to lean on God in this trying time, but I'm not fond of conventional religion.
I love people and tend to believe in the best in people, but I can't tolerate dishonesty. I don't like phony people. Being straight and down to earth is just something that should be normal. I am prideful sometimes to a fault, but I admire men who carry themselves with a sense of pride without being arrogant. I love southern gentlemen, which unfortunately seems to be a dying breed. Many of my best friends throughout my life have been men, as I often find women to be gossipy and catty.
If you are looking for a lover or a one night stand, look elsewhere. I don't think I'm quite ready for that.
