I am an independent and confident person, who enjoys life. I am comfortable at being alone, but not a fan of being lonely. People fuel my energy - close family and friends, and those who randomly wander in for a visit. I believe in learning, whenever and wherever. I get geeked out when I discover something new. I am a believer that friendship and love must go hand-in-hand.

My job required leadership - consistently making decisions and paving the professional path for others. In this moment of my life, I am happy to relinquish the control (sometimes:) and let someone teach me to follow, but on equal footing:) I am cool under pressure and can be clinical during a crisis. But I am also extremely romantic and love to engage in those connections that feed the soul - hand-holding, hugging, kissing, looking into someone's eyes and communicating without saying a word.

At this moment, I am learning how to live with free time, being recently retired from a job that consumed a large portion of each 24 hour day. It is a novelty to have control over your own life. So, I am reveling in the small mundane activities - maintaining the home, garden, shopping all subject to my discretion in quantity and quality. I also love to read, see good movies and hang out with friends. It is weird to have the majority, if not all, of your time be free, with little accountability to anyone. My idea of fun is to be sharing my life with someone - there is so much to do!
