Hi there, and, thanks for stopping by. I am a happy optimistic, with a good sense of humor. Also, honest (don't believe in playing head games) Everyone tells me I have a great personality, and, a nice smile. I get along with almost anyone, and, I believe in helping anyone in need.
I think communication and sharing are an important in any relationship.
I was married for 43 years, have been a widow for 9 yrs., and, feel it is time to start the last half of my life with that special someone. I think you can find love for the second time. I would never compare you to my first husband. Everyone is different and special in their own way. I would want to be accepted and loved for who I am, and, would do the same for anyone else. I think our lives are similar to a book, and I am now on my second chapter, just need to find the lead character!!! I am sure you have found it is no fun doing things by yourself. I try to get out and go for day trips to explore, but, I am getting real tired of talking to myself !!! Sometimes I will stop and ask for directions just to have someone to talk to lol I love to have fun and enjoy life. The young people think that us "mature" people don't know how to have fun - boy are they wrong !! I have heard people say "we are not dead yet" !!! I love the water, especially the ocean. It is so calming and healing to sit (or walk along) and watch the water and listen to the waves. It doesn't always have to be the ocean, I also like lakes ect. I even got a fishing license, in case I found someone who likes to fish. Haven't had a chance to use it though :( I also like day trips, and go on the roads less traveled. You can find some really interesting things (and treasures) on rhose roads
Also enjoy dinning out, movies, festivals, fairs and such. I belivve if you are with that special someone, anything can be enjoyable.
Well, that is a little about me. It is very hard to write about ones self. You can't really get to know someone by reading a profile, or, e-mailing. I believe there is no better way to get to know someone than by meeting them, and spend time with them.I guess maybe I am old fashion, but, you have to remember, I haven't dated in almost 50 years. All of this dating site stuff is new to me.
