I am a lover of life and have learned the hard way to never take one single day for granted. I love the outdoors, the sunshine, flowers, long walks or drives, the theater, dancing, picnics and the amusement park. I enjoy hiking, camping, the mountains and my ultimate dream includes a house at the beach to one day retire to. I am extremely flexible and can adapt to "almost" any situation with ease.
I love being at home and filling that enviroment with the love and laughter of family and good friends. Having and maintaining my own home over the years, I am no stranger to hard work. I take much pride in my home and see it as a bit of a reflection of myself (busy, organized and quite happy!)
On a date,happiness for me can be found in wearing jeans, grabbing a pizza and a movie... dressing to the nines, candlelight dinner, romantic conversation, dancing the night away..OR just staying indoors on that cold winter evening, donning my sweats, glass of white zinphandel in hand, and snuggling by the fire with, of course, the man that I adore by my side.
I must admit, I really do love those romantic, surprise weekend getaways (without the children, of course!) and find that they are crucial to keep the fire burning!
I have three really awesome children that I am so proud to call "my own". We have an extremely close relationship and show the utmost love and respect to each other at all times.
My six beautiful grandchildren have caused me to grow yet another heart! I am truly blessed...
I am not a "material girl" nor am I looking for someone to shower me with material "stuff". My needs are quite simple. As it is said, "God has created a "compatible" soulmate for each one of us," and even though I indeed lost mine to an untimely death years ago, my quest remains to find that extremely HONEST, respectable, monogamus gentleman who knows how to treat a lady and is not afraid to show affection. Finds masculinity in wearing his heart on his sleeve. A very strong man (both physically & mentally) whose arms around me, make me feel safe and secure, yet he can cry at the drop of a hat! His priorities in life should focus entirely on HONESTY, CONSTANT COMMUNICATION, "never-ending" ROMANCE and RESPECT as the four key elements to maintaining a long, healthy, happy relationship. Kindness, patience and the immense love of children and just "family" in general, should come naturally as a positive attribute. He should be able to laugh and enjoy life immensely without any artificial stimulants. (ie: drugs and/or alcohol)
Frequent romantic gestures, i.e. love notes, unexpected phone calls, unexpected visits, etc... I believe are a nice added touch to let each other know that your always being thought of in a special way, no matter how busy your day is.
