A self confessed overly romantic sappy girly chick, I am an eternal optimist, enjoying witty banter and indepth conversation on a myriad of topics, intellectually curious, loving life and quick to laugh at myself. I love spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, biking and kayaking in this beautiful area and snowshoeing & winter hiking in the mountains and lakes region of NH and Maine., (and having thus conveyed my appreciation for all that is New England, when I retire in a year, I am hoping to spend winters in the warmth and sunshine of Florida or South Carolina!) I also treasure spending a relaxing day and evening, sharing wine and conversation as we fix dinner and curl up on the couch to watch a movie or play a board game. As an 'old fashioned woman', I love cuddling and totally pampering a nice man. With eclectic tastes in music - Bocelli, Adele, Daughtry, Classical, Pop, 60's; I also enjoy museums, theatre, bookstores, and movies. Loving travel, my 'bucket list' of places yet to explore: sailing the BVI, touring Provence, Tuscany, Ireland and England, river cruises through Europe, exploring the quiet back roads of NE. and the national and provincial parks. I am low maintenance and easy going, yet possessing a youthful high energy approach to the many simple joys and wonders of life. I seek a caring friendship which shall hopefully develop into a loving relationship, for I truly believe the best is yet to be.

You have a great sense of humor and are easily able to laugh at life and yourself. You believe in the importance of communication, openness and honesty, and are easily able to share your thoughts and dreams. You love the outdoors, and appreciate the value of remaining fit, both intellectually and physically. Long walks along the beach or through the woods, easy hiking in the White Mountains, biking along the coast, kayaking the rivers, lakes and coastal shoreline are a few of your many, varied interests. You have endured some ups, downs and losses in life, as have we all, and have worked them through, learned a few valuable lessons along the way, and have no excessive baggage -- now you eagerly look forward to what the future might hold -- for you, for me, for us. While knowing how to behave in a mature manner, you would also delight in jumping into the lake, fully clothed, after a long bike ride with me, for the little boy in you is still resident and loves to come out and play. You don't 'need' a woman in your life, as much as you 'want' one.

An ideal day together would involve all of our senses, enjoying all this wonderful region offers in the way of culture, historical sites, and outdoor activities -- hopefully leading to a lovely picnic or fixing dinner together, as we sip wine, laugh and talk about our day together. We are both somewhat independent, having lived on our own following long relationships and are not truly lonely in our aloneness, yet now seek the joyful friendship and loving companionship of a like minded soul, realizing that each experience is enhanced when shared with someone special. We are invigorated at the chance to meet someone new, and to experience love and passion once again. I am planning to retire in 2 years and hope to spend winters in Florida or SC and summers on the coast of Maine. Please come and join me as we make some wonderful memories together!
