I am a straightforward, down-to-earth guy who loves doing things with family and friends. Spending quality time with these folks is important to me, and they would most likely describe me as being a warm, caring, outgoing person who is very open, honest, and a good communicator.I grew up in the Midwest, and while growing up, I was always curious about nature—why do things happen as they do? I have always loved to learn, often by reading about them first and then by going out to see or do them. I believe I ended up being a teacher as a result of all this curiosity!I value and respect working hard so as to reach one's goals, but I think it's also very important to take time to live in the moment and relax too. Life goes by quickly—best to enjoy all of it and not get stuck in the "when I get this done, then I'll be set" mentality.I love being outdoors—fresh air does wonders for the soul. And I enjoy both a hard workout and just being out taking it in through a relaxing walk or boat ride.
