I'm kind. Patient, I like to talk and communicate, and I not only listen, but I hear.
I like all types of people. I enjoy hearing about different cultures and lifestyles.
I never get bored learning about your life and habits. Likes or dislikes.
I know that I am not everyone's cup of tea, but I try. I am very easy to get along with, but I do have opinions that do not always match yours. So, I say, let's agree to disagree and get on to another topic. I'm not about to argue, every view point is valid.
But, maybe we will stay away from the dreaded 2 - religion , politics. There are probably more, but these are the 2, I find most contentious.
Child rearing is another. I already raised mine. I did the best I could. It's your turn. There are no right answers, no matter what the professionals say. Just follow your instincts and pray. It worked for me. I raised 5 lovely law-abiding, contributing adults. They all responded to different strategies. Make up your own style to suit you and your own morals and values. Show a united front and give lots of love and understanding.
Now, of course, I am an empty nester. My children are now raising their own families. My job is done.
It is my turn to find some love again.
I have been a widow since 2013. It's time I had some love in my life.
