I am recently bereaved from a long marriage, and a retired writer for a publisher of psychology books. My teenage children are at the centre of my life (boy and girl, both special needs). I am half way through a Social Work degree, studying mainly for interest, but passionately interested in child psychotherapy. My original goal was to become a child therapist or to be a published writer in that field. But now I am happy and contented with my retirement ...
I love the outdoors and nature: walking my dogs on the beach, hiking, swimming, cottage-country. I prefer the simple, quiet things, such as movies, music and a home-cooked meal, and I prefer my home area (Durham) to frenetic globetrotting. Been there! Done that!
I am very active and fit. If you like conservation areas, cottage-country, gardening, swimming and cycling, then you will enjoy being with me. If you like intimacy, affection and offbeat humour, and if you would rather focus on your relationship than conquer the world, then look no further.
