Since being on this website for a week (today is February 13, 2016) or so I have discovered it necessary to share my intentions with all of you precious ladies out there in cyberspace.

First of all, I sense it best to let you know that it's only been four months since I lost my soulmate. Believe me, that may only happen once in a lifetime. I know what it's like, unfortunately, it was for only six years and I praise my Jesus for that. I also know what it's like to be in a "not so wonderful marriage" that lasted for 35 years. I still love the gal I was married to, we had two awesome kids together. The mother of my children never really lived with me after we relocated to Charlotte in 1991, she stayed apart from me and the kids, choosing to stay in Kentucky most of the time.

Having shared this, I wish to inform everyone that I am only interested in dating because I promised my wife I would. I have no plans to remarry and I respect each of you with that desire. I pray you find what I had because it was truly as close to heaven as one can be. I believe in abstinence before marriage. I was true to both of my wives and never was "with" another woman.

Secondly, I am 63 years old, so all of you adorable “girls” who are my daughter's age of 38, please understand I am not your guy. I do have a wonderful son, Chris, 35, who is available.

Lastly, I am only interested in meeting ladies in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. So, if you live farther than 30 miles from here, I see no future, unless you are planning to move here sometime.

I am presently a widower. My sweet wife, Linda, of only five years, passed away in October 2015, after a three year battle with cancer. As she was getting ready to meet her Lord and Savior, she pleaded with me to remarry. I told her that I wasn't sure if that would ever happen, because she was truly The Love Of My Life. I did promise her that I would not be a Monk, and she smiled. So, here I am, seeking God's direction for my life. I am praying for God to match me up with potential lady friends who are first and foremost believers in The Lord Jesus Christ. I do not wish to be unequally yoked in any relationship.
