I love life! I love to travel, love to explore, am working on umpteen projects, all at the same time. I'm at a great time in life - my two oldest kids are still in town, my youngest is still at home. I love their companionship and that of my friends, but I've been a widow now for nine years, and I miss the companionship of males.

I live with my teenage son, two big dogs, one cuddly cat, two guinea pigs, and two fish. My house is warm and cozy.

I'm intelligent and even geeky (according to my kids) (they say I'm the queen of lame jokes).
I also love my work - I teach one day a week, plus I'm involved in launching a start-up online business. I love to meet people and hear about new ideas. I love the tech world. Yes, I have the latest Iphone!

And most of all, I'm a musician. My doctorate is in music and I occasionally travel and give workshops in my instrument (last year Costa Rica, this year Kenya).

I'm looking for someone to share a good dinner and a bottle of wine, maybe see a recital, opera, or play. I'd also love to cook a lovely dinner and watch a foreign film at home. A walk in the woods sounds good, too!

I love good conversation: what makes you tick? Why do people act the way they do? I'd even go into religion and politics, but if we had very different views I'd probably want to steer elsewhere!

I've been lucky enough to visit lots of places around the world: Japan, Africa, all over Europe, Central America. I'm going to South America over Christmas. But there are so many places I haven't been! I have so many things I want to do and see. Fantasy trips of the future: seeing the great late gothic cathedrals of France (Rouens, Amiens, etc). Going to an Italian language school in Italy. Teaching English in Thailand. Setting foot on Antarctica! I also dream of spending a few months in Spain and writing a book. Crazy? Or possible? Time will tell!
