I Would Describe Myself As

After graduating from college, I bought out my summer job and ran a cabinet business for 40 years. I sold it and comfortaby retired. So what is my hobby now that I'm in the land of leisure? Building furniture in the garage. Go figure. I also give free repairs and home remodeling advice to neighbors, so I guess I've at least branched out a little. 😀 It's easy to get asked when you've owned the same hpuse for 40 years. People seem to find you. My real passions include travel, both domestic and international. I've seen lots of Europe and Asia, both the Mideast and the Far East. My largest recurring expense is travel. I love to read news, mainly apolitical, every day. Also, books of historical fiction and nonfiction. Luckily, I don't have any kids living in the basement. My two sons have their own families including my four grandchildren. I play lots of sports including tennis and pickleball. I love to walk and often visit historic neighborhoods to peruse the houses. I've been lucky in health, having never had surgery or a serious disease. I do have partial hearing loss and wear hearing aids. However, I can do pretty well without them. To sum up, I'm just an average guy who likes to talk, listen, and especially to laugh. And, drawing closer, I also love to touch. I lost a wife of 26 years tragically. I am not possessed by that, and would like to meet someone special to be there with me when the sun goes down and, still later, when the lights go off, day by day, for all the days that are left to us.
