I’m a widower who made a life altering decision in the midst of a grief fueled hurricane and am grabbing life on my terms again and refocusing. I lost my first wife of 30 years to cancer after an eight year battle with stage 4 breast cancer right out of the gate. I made the mistake of jumping right into another relationship without giving myself time to even begin the healing process. I've been on my own now for almost a year and am ready to grab life again and find someone to share it with. I consider myself an old school romantic who actively participates in chivalry and loves to dote. I believe in opening doors, walking beside or slightly behind and holding hands as often as possible. I'm confident, strong and not afraid of confrontation. I don't go looking for it but I'm not easily intimidated or taken advantage of either. I love most genres of movies and music, hiking, mountain biking and anything involving the mountains or water. Except water skiing. I've never been able to get that down with any confidence as I really don't like feeling anything on my legs while floating LOL. Jet skiing is about my favorite when I get to do it. Kayaking is also very fun. I've played the drums most of my life and will be learning to play the piano this fall after work dies down. I like to travel, although haven't done much of it abroad, just stateside. I really love cruises. I've only been on two but I'm hooked and up for that if the opportunity presents itself. I'm a passionate guy who loves a healthy and vibrant physical relationship. My love language is physical touch followed by a close tie for second with quality time and words of affirmation.

Looking for someone who values commitment, lives and loves with passion and would appreciate a man whose desire for her would make her smile and shiver at the same time. A woman who understands that we all have a past, a past that has made us who we are today, good, bad or indifferent. A woman willing to make room in the relationship for parts of that past as I would hers. Someone who is confident and strong but also humble and vulnerable. And who has a wildly sarcastic sense of humor, or at least appreciates one lol. Piece a cake right? Did I mention passionate? Wink wink!!
