Me describiría a mi mismo como
I know what true love is, I was blessed with it for 25 extraordinary years. I also know what crushing pain grief is, and that you can't have one without the other. But I've also discovered that surviving such profound loss has rendered me quite fearless; after all, death is ultimately inevitable so it is useless to fear it. I would much rather experience the euphoria of a genuine soul-connection and lament its physical passing, than never to have known it at all.
After 7 years I am recovered, and changed for the better as a result. I am more positive, more laid back, less concerned about materiality and appearances, less willing to judge others, and far more eager to fully experience each moment of the rest of my life. I've learned that life is not just about what you've accomplished (although there is certainly nothing wrong with that--I was always a high achiever); rather, it is about who you are, and the two are not the same thing.
I have never remarried, but have had one long-term relationship since. I am definitely a one-man woman. I am well-educated and independent. I don't care for social roles, organized religion, or interpersonal drama. I adore animals, particularly dogs, and champion their causes. I am also hopelessly artistic--compelled to create beauty, and driven to surround myself with it.
I also enjoy psychology with a particular interest in humanistic and transpersonal psychology, and the pursuit of spiritual evolution. I would like nothing better than to find a similar companion with whom to share such interests, for the rest of the remaining moments of our existence on this spectacular plane.
