I'm a youthful looking, attractive widow, with no children, who looks like my photos. I'm very intelligent, intuitive, kind, empathic, warm and loving. I enjoy swimming, boating, hiking, tennis, dining out, museums, live theatre, concerts and musicals, ballet and modern dance performances, personal growth workshops, yoga and meditation retreats. Weekend car trips are fun getaways, as are vacations in exotic locales discovering new cultures. Perhaps I'll take my first cruise with you, and maybe a lot more of them. I've always wanted to teach on cruises that go around the world.
I've had careers as a professor of comparative mysticism, East-West psychology and transpersonal psychology, and then as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice. I don't plan to fully retire anytime soon. I'm beginning a third part-time career as a global leadership coach, transnational management trainer, and organization development consultant.
Raised Roman Catholic, in college I became a Christian mystic who studied comparative religions, anthropology, philosophy and world mythologies. I traveled in Mexico, Europe and parts of Asia, interested in art, architecture, ethnic music and the local spiritualitiies. I did doctoral research in India on kundalini yoga in Tantric Hinduism and became a meditator in the Hindu tradition. Over twenty years later, I became initiated in Tibetan Vajrayana (Tantric)Buddhism and spent a three month sabbatical in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, living with an ordained community of Tibetan householders. Since then I've been a member of an esoteric Christian community, and now I'm a member of an inclusive mystical community called Unity church. Currently, I'm adding Qigong and the internal alchemy of Taoist yoga. I have many belongings, and I'm interspiritual and ecumenical. I'm also a part-time ministerial student in an interfaith seminary.
My hobbies are singing in a choir, practicing pranic healing, and learning professional level astrology systems (psychological, evolutionary and Vedic).
